It's no secret I love a good blush, as seen in my recent blush tag post (here).  I'm all about the blush and lipstick rather than swooning over shadow palettes.  My silly hooded eyes just don't allow for such pleasures so I stick with pretty blush and all the loud lipsticks.

Milano is a new brand to me and I've been super excited to try this one out so imagine the huge grin on my face when this little treasure popped through my letterbox recently.

The first thing that struck me is the sleek packaging.  I'm a huge fan of Illamasqua and their packaging and this is certainly on par with them.  It is quite a bulky compact so I'd probably opt to leave this item at home rather than carry it in my handbag but overall it's a really sturdy and polished compact.

I chose the shade Shakira* which is the brightest of the collection-  I felt this shade would work great with my hair and I've not been disappointed.  Shakira is a bold coral pink with a pearly shimmer to it.  I was initially a little apprehensive about the shimmer as I'm not a fan of looking like a teenage glitter addict but upon application the shimmer is hardly noticeable.  I think it's more of a fresh, dewy finish.

I'll have to be honest; the shade names really did make me giggle.  These blushes are also available Beyonce, Rhianna and Mariah !  And I have found myself lusting over the Mariah too as it's also a lovely fresh pink shade.

The texture of the blush is really fine and as such I found a lot of fall out from both the product and my brush but there is a lot of product in the compact and it's super long lasting once applied so I don't see that as too much of an issue as this will last me a long time but it did get a little messy on first use, so I'd recommend taking it easy when you're getting your brush on in there.

Have you ever tried any Milano products?  What's your favourite from the range?
