Sample Japanese Skincare | The DHC Beauty Bento Box

Asian beauty is HUGE right now, right?

I've tried the likes of Tony Moly, Oh K! etc but one brand I've had a my eye on for a while has to be DHC.

Luckily I happened to stumble over the DHC Beauty Bento Box over on Escentual a while ago and snapped it up right away for the bargain price of £13.00.

I'd been super keen to get my hands on the DHC Cleansing Oil for a few months - I've been loving oil based skincare products recently and I'd heard that this Cleansing Oil was one of the best on the market and the most iconic product in the DHC skincare range.

Inside the £13.00 bargain box of goodies you'll find;
*  30ml of the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
*  10g Sample of the DHC Mild Soap
*  DHC Revitalizing Moisture Strips for Eyes (2 packs of 2)
*  DHC Blotting Paper (pack of 100)

Skincare guru Caroline Hirons has taught us all the benefits of the double cleanse recently and this DHC set helps you carry out that ritual.

First step for me was the DHC Cleansing Oil and it did not disappoint.  With rosemary and olive oil in, it's designed to be applied to the face with dry hands, massaged in to remove the dirt of the day and then you add water to emulsify and wash away.  It leaves the skin feeling silky soft and fresh.

Then onto the one product within the box that I was initially sceptical of; the soap.  Who uses soap on their face these days?

But I went with it.

The ultra-mild soap is designed to be used as a 2nd cleanse, to catch anything you may have missed first time around.  Surprisingly to me, the soap lathers well, leaves you feeling instantly refreshed and is not drying on the skin at all.  I enjoyed using it.

For your handbag there is the pack of 100 blotting sheets, which for "Oil Slick, Gill" here  was happy to see.  I used to carry blotting papers years ago and they are the kinda item you forget to repurchase but always wish you had in your purse.  These alone are actually worth £4.50, they are made from 100% hemp fibre and obviously absorb excess oil to help your make up last longer.  Plus the packaging is super cute to keep in your bag.

Last up, probably my second favourite item in the box, after the oil has to be the DHC Revitalizing Moisture Strips for Eyes.  You get two packs of two in the Bento Box which I think is pretty nifty for a taster box like this.  You always need more than one test of a product to know whether you want to buy it again, yea?

For a six pack of these strips you're looking at £8.75 so to have these included in the Bento Box makes me very happy.

The strips are designed to mould onto the contours of your eyes to soothe, brighten and cool - making you look more awake after just 20 minutes.

I've realised recently that dark circles are starting to become a bit of an issue for me, so far I've used one set of these strips and really enjoyed them.  They are comfortable to wear and soothing on the skin.  I'm not too sure about the brightening aspect just yet but I've already added them to my Escentual shopping list for next time.

Overall I think this box was well worth at least £20.00 so I'd tell you all to run and grab one ASAP.  It's a great opportunity to try some new products, from a brand that perhaps you've never even heard of before.  Well worth it.

A full size cleansing oil is now on my shopping list too.

Fancy grabbing your own DHC Beauty Bento Box, they're on sale now for £13.00 from Escentual
