Galgorm Resort & Spa,  I feel like it needs no introduction at this point, you all know it by now, yes?

Galgorm is one of those places in Northern Ireland that everyone knows.  Everyone has dreamt of visiting/ staying/ spa'ing there and the resort really is one of those places that needs to be on your wishlist.

I visited Galgorm Resort & Spa back in March this year for some food (here) and these photos are still some of my favourite I've ever taken - the food was SO bright, so tasty and just screams elegance.

Since then I have been jumping to get back to Galgorm for a proper visit.

So imagine my excitement when I was recently invited along to celebrate Spa September.

That's right, Galgorm Resport & Spa have just recently finished their spa extension works and to celebrate, they've created a month long programme of events.

From a wellness cupper club to a stretch and soothe evening, an evening with Aromatherapy Associates to learning the secrets of calming a busy mind - the events have something for everyone.  If you fancy taking part in one of the events - you can find more information here

This week, we arrived to have a tour of the newly completed spa extension.  Back in 2015 the Galgorm had an £11 million refurbishment and they introduced the Thermal Village Experience but these recent works have seen it extended even further.

It was a cold and dreary evening so we quickly changed into robes and slippers and met in The Orangery in time for a demonstration by Bioeffect.

Bioeffect are a new brand to me; they are an Icelandic skincare brand and are exclusive to Galgorm Resort & Spa.  The team were on hand to answer any questions we had and demonstrate one of their signature facial treatments for us.

We made our way through the grounds to the brand new Spa cafĂ© dome; Elements.  The structure of Elements restaurant is outstanding,  it's one of only five in the world and it's the perfect pit stop for a cocktail, healthy snack or fresh pastry while you're relaxing.

Then it was time for us to test out the Thermal Village Experience.

As it was now pretty late at night, the Thermal Village Experience, although it stays open until 10pm, was pretty empty.  The heavens had opened on us and we loved every moment of it.

There is something surreal about sitting in a open air Jacuzzi in the rain, beside a fire that I'll never forget.

The Thermal Village grounds are breath-taking at night, delicately lit with a truly romantic vibe.

We headed inside for a little more exploring and discovered a full length 20 meter swimming pool, a snow cabin, sanarium and more.

I simple cannot believe how many elements the team at Galgorm have managed to add to the Thermal Village, we didn't even manage to visit half of it.  So much so, we're already planning another visit back very soon.

I'd like to take the opportunity now to thank Tara and the team at Galgorm Resort & Spa, Tom from Bioeffect and Juliet from Scarlett PR for an amazing evening.  I now hold you all firmly responsible for creating a Spa Addict.

If you fancy a treat, Galgorm have kindly gifted my readers a complimentary one hour access to the Thermal Village Experience when you book a Bioeffect Ultimate EGF Facial treatment Mon-Thurs in Oct and Nov. To avail you just have to email Louise from the team at lnicholl@galgorm.com quoting "Spa September Bloggers".

Are you a spa addict yet?  Visit Galgorm Resport & Spa and tell me afterwards ;)
