Celebrating January With Pago Juices

We've made it guys, it's the first payday after Christmas, are you celebrating?

Fancy a good cocktail recipe to help you along the way?

THe Hot Pagonia Cocktail Recipe
For those of you that don't know, I work part time in a bar and have done so for too many years. Bar work is fun and one of my favourite things about my weekend job is getting creative, I love introducing customers to new products - these days it's gin, everyone has gone gin mad these days, haven't they?

Personally I've always been a rum or vodka kinda gal.

Knocking up a cocktail at home is a little treat to me, something that little bit extra, y'know?

One of my hopes for 2018 is to bring more foodie content back to the blog so when the team over at Pago got in touch, I thought it'd be a great opportunity to try out some of their products and see if I could knock up some cocktails, while telling you all about Pago Juices at the same time.

So who are they?

Pago Juices originate from Austria and they were founded 130 years ago.

The brand produce premium fruit juices made from natural ingredients that are sourced from all over the world and have a unique pressing technique which keeps the end product filled with the maximum amount of nutrients and vitamins as possible.

The range currently consists of 15 flavours and are of course, suitable for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets.  They are currently available to buy online but are also making their way into more UK based stockist as this goes post live.

I'm a huge fan of adult soft drinks and anything that can steer me away from the likes of coffee or fizzy pop has a huge appeal to me, and since I've been trying out my sample pack of Pago juices, I've found myself reaching for one of their cute green bottles of tasty goodness over tea or coffee when I'm at home.

I could write all day about how exciting the flavour selection is but I figured to make this post a bit more appealing, then a cocktail recipe might interest you more.

One of the easiest cocktails to knock up at home for me is a what I like to call a Hot Pagonia, intrigued?

It's super simple;
THE HOT PAGONIA
1 small red chili pepper
1 shot of white rum
75mls of Pago Tropical (Multivitamin, Pineapple, Mango)
A dash of bitters
Juice of half a fresh lime
A dash of grenadine

Place half of the small red chilli in the bottom of a cocktail shaker & muddle it up a little.
Pour in the rum, Pago Tropical, a squeeze of fresh lime & bitters and shake with a handful of ice.

Strain into a chilled glass, pour in a small amount of grenadine that will sink to the bottom and garnish - I like to use passionfruit as a garnish 'cos I'm a huge fan.

It's a fresh, zingy punch of flavour that'll have you dreaming of beaches and bikini's in no time.

Are you a cocktail fan too?
