Finding Balance With Adagio Tea

Finding Balance Time With Adagio Tea + A Giveaway

I don't know about you, but working in an office 38 hours a week can have a serious effect on how much caffeine I put into my body and it's something I've become very aware of recently.

I'm talking at least five/ six cups while in work and then a few more at home in the evening or a coffee with friends, it all adds up and makes getting to sleep in the evening all that more frustrating.

Getting out of bed in the morning has been a real struggle for the last few months and I've put that down to a mixture of things; horrid weather, my Netflix addiction and my caffeine intake and I realized it was time for something to give.

Now, luckily Spring looks like it's landing this week - I swear I saw a glimpse of the sun yesterday, but don't quote me on that.

I'm not planning up giving up Netflix anytime soon so that leaves the caffeine. Ohh dear.

Adagio Teas recently got in touch and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to swap at least one of my vices for something a little more nurturing.

So balance, that's a tough one for me. I'm a huge Starbucks fan, I swear I was almost first in line when a Starbucks drive through opened in Belfast last year but I'm trying to embrace the small changes.

Finding Balance Time With Adagio Tea + A Giveaway body and soul Loose tea Selection
One of my favourite discoveries from Adagio Tea is the Body & Soul loose tea selection gift set* which is a beautifully presented pack of three loose tea tins.

Adagio Teas actually do a variety of these three pack gift sets but the Body & Soul set really interested me as it's exactly what my body has been crying out for the last few weeks.

The Body & Soul set has three blends designed to help ease away the winter ailments and help promote wellness;

Happy Belly
Something I suffer with quite badly is bloating and I've been trying to embrace green tea a lot more recently as I know it has great health benefits so this loose tea is a blend of senna leaf, green rooibos tea, orange peels, chicory, aniseed, slippery elm, pu erh poe tea and ginger root and although I have no idea what a lot of those ingredients even are, this is enjoyable to drink and makes my tummy feel relaxed and settled.
I'm a huge fan of ginger and the kick in this is right up my street.

Throat Therapy
Ohh boy I needed this over the last few weeks.  Did anyone else get struck done with the Storm Emma Lurgy?
This loose tea is a blend of licorice root, raspberry leaves, hibiscus flowers, orange peel, cinnamon bark, aniseed and slippery elm.
Now I'm not the biggest fan of licorice root or aniseed in teas but I stuck with this one 'cos I wanted my sickness to leave me damn body quickly and colour me impressed, it's pretty pleasant and very soothing.

Tea-Tox
Now the one thing I'm not a fan of is the idea of those quick fix slimming teas so bear with me, that's not we're about here.
The Tea-Tox loose tea is blended with milk-thistle (which I know help the liver, especially helpful to keep hangovers at bay) burdock, green rooibos tea, peppermint leaves, dandelion root and lemon balm and this is the one I've been having in my mug on my morning commute.
I feel like it's kick starting my mind and body, lifting my mood.
Plus it mainly tastes like peppermint which is my favourite.

I've found that introducing a few more varieties into my daily routine has really made me drop the sugar laden coffees and caffeine filled teas and made me feel a lot more energetic as the day goes on too.

Adagio Teas have such a huge range of fruit flavours, green teas and giftware available online (here) that would be a lovely addition to any breakfast table and I got so excited when my package arrived from the brand including a special gift for one of you guys too.

  3. As someone who is always sick, I'm constantly pumping myself full of medicine. Recently, I've been trying to rid sicknesses with home remedies and teas because I'm starting to feel like my body is building an immunity against some of these cold and flu tablets. I have to be lemsips number one hater, so more authentic teas are.. well.. my cup of tea. Love a good ginger one!

Really enjoyed this blog post, going to try drink more teas; rather than coffees and mochas which I am all too guilty of overindulging. Health is wealth I guess!
