K-Beauty Haul | KOJA BEAUTY + A Giveaway

K-Beauty Haul | KOJA BEAUTY

K-Beauty has become so popular over the last two years and I absolutely love trying out new products so when KOJA Beauty got in touch to see if I'd like to try out some of their range, I was excited to pick up some new products an get trying them out.

But not only that, they also sent me a few items for a giveaway too.  Exciting, huh?

So check out the details below to find out how you can pick up some K-Beauty bits for yourself.

Koja Beauty is a online store who specialise in cruelty-free Korean skincare and they also offer a range of vegan-friendly products and all of the products have been hand-picked and tested before being added to their online store.

When it comes to K-Beauty products, it can be a bit of a minefield, sometimes the products don't have much information on the packaging etc so I I was glad to see the Koja Beauty site had a reasonable amount of information on each item to make it a bit easier when filling your basket.

So what have I been trying out?

Well since it's skincare, I've been giving these products a fair trial over the last 5 weeks now and I wanted to share my first impressions and thoughts on each one so get comfy, there's a few but I'll try to keep it brief.

I've always been a cleanser junkie so I wanted to start off with this product.

I love a cleansing oil and have used a few over the last couple of years, favourites being the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (£19.00) and the Decléor Micellar Cleansing Oil (£28.00)  so price wise, this Klairs option is comparable with those two.

The formula itself is light and pleasant to use, it removes make up easily and is gentle on the eye area too.

The product has natural oils extracted from Black Bean in it to help control sebum, help increase the skin elasticity and provides a soothing effect while the  Black Sesame oil in it is packed full of antioxidant benefits for the skin.  Topped off the Black Current Seed Oil which is said to help strengthen the skins protective layer to prevent the evaporation of moisture from the skin, which will help promotes skin cell regeneration.

This product has earned it's place on my bathroom shelf as I find it gentle on the skin, while great to remove any traces of make up and anything that helps control sebum for me is a bonus.

I'm first to admit I'm rubbish remembering to tone my skin and it's something I've mentioned here on the blog a few times.  I'm lucky if I finish one bottle of toner a year and always forget to buy more but as someone on a mission to improve their skincare routine, I need a good ol smack to the face and told to sort myself out.

I was excited that this Klairs Supple Preparation Toner was unscented as this is one reason I usually skip the toning step, maybe I've gone for the wrong products in the past but scented toners just don't do it for me anymore.

The Klairs Supple Preparation Toner aims to balance your skin's pH-level and provides a soothing and hydrating effect and goodness knows my complexion has needed this the last few weeks with the heat and humidity in the UK right now.

This product contains Phyto-Oligo that is said to improve moisture flow evenly throughout the skin to help resolve skin dryness. It also contains wheat amino acids which have anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce inflammation in the skin and provide deep hydration.

On first application the product feels silky to apply and leaves the skin with a slight stickiness but that quickly subsides to leave my face feeling fresh and soothed.

This one is a very welcome addition to my skincare routine and I'm aiming to keep on toning.

Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish    £21.00
Notes - Vegan  |  For all skintypes  |  110ml tub

Hands up if you love a good facial polish?  Damn, I do, I really do.  This Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish ticks all the boxes for me.  The black sugar helps remove the dead skin cells to help reduce blackheads as it exfoliates away the dry skin to leave a smoother, more radiant complexion over time.

I'm very prone to dry patches and love a gentle exfoliation once or twice a week and I've fallen for this product for sure.  If you're in the market for a new facial polish, I'd highly recommend checking this one out.  Plus, how adorable is packaging?!

Love cute packaging and the K-pop beauty aesthetic?  Then this Klairs Mochi Cushion BB cream is one for you.

I remember back to 2016 when cushion products arrived on the UK beauty scene and I really enjoyed using the L'Oréal Nude Magique foundation (post here) but I actually never repurchased that product as I've always been a bit of a flirt when it came to bases.

The Klairs Mochi BB Cushion is a super lightweight BB cream that is designed to be patted onto the skin to create a natural, light base.

Sadly the shade of this universal shade of the BB cream wasn't quite light enough for my skintone right now but I'm saving this for holidays or when I tan and I really enjoy the light coverage this product.

Notes - Vegan  |  For all skintypes  |  40ml tube  | One universal shade

So while we're on BB Creams, here's another.  This Klairs Illuminating BB Cream is also only available in one shade but this one suits my skintone a lot better.  This products is perfect for those lazy days or when you want a more natural look and I've been loving it for office days, when I don't want a full face of make up, want a light coverage and to add some glow into my complexion plus it has SPF40 which makes me very happy.

Klairs say that this product uses their Klairs Unique smart color system is suitable for any skin type and tone so it's one to try for sure.

This Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask is one of the best sheet masks I have tried, I've used masks from many different brands over the years for all budgets too but for £2.49, I can firmly say this one is a real favourite.

Last but by no means least, the star of this haul, the By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum.

Containing 21.5% pure Vitamin C to maximise results, this serum aims to rejuvenate and nourish the skin for a more radiant and brighter complexion.

I've been using this serum now for going on five weeks and I'm really enjoying it.  As I'm pretty new to using a Vitamin C serum, I initially started using this product mixed in with my moisturiser to introduce it to my skin but I now use it independently and find it comfortable and effective on my skin.

The serum is formulated to

  • Brighten up the skin
  • Even out complexion
  • Fade acne scarring
  • Firm & smooth skin
  • Improve fine lines and wrinkles
  • Fade hyper-pigmentation

Still with me?  I know that was a long one...

The team over at KOJA Beauty sent me over an extra special gift for one of my readers so if you'd like to win your own bottle of the Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum from By Wishtrend, & one of each of my new favourite sheet masks, just head over to my Twitter (here) and follow the guidelines.
