Liquid Eyeliner in Black / Pixi Dust Pink 4 / Mushroom Magic 6 / Pillar Box Red 15 / Parma Violet 24 / Lip Liner in Red

I love a bargain.   I also love make up.

So the Make Up Gallery range now stocked in my local Poundland is just ideal for me when I'm trying not to spend too much lately.
I'll admit it, I'm a little skeptical of certain products in the range, how can they produce a foundation for £1?!  Or do I actually want to put a £1 foundation on my sensitive skin?

I'm a bit of a foundation snob so I decided against the £1 foundation but I have found a good few items in the range that I really enjoy.

Their nail polishes are AMAZING!  The red has stayed chip free for 6 days WITHOUT a top coat.  I am not kidding!

Both the red and purple go on really opaque with just one coat but I applied 2 coats when doing my nails properly, y'know, just to be sure.

The mushroom shade goes on like a bit of a dirty puddle, I won't lie.  I stepped out of my usual shade comfort zone with this one but as a previous wearer of black polish throughout my teens I thought this shade would still look slightly gothy but a little less harsh.  With 2 thick coats it's pretty nice but I bought the Pixi dust sparkle top coat with the intension of wearing it over this shade and although it doesn't show up well in the photo, it's really pretty in person.  I doubt I'd wear either the Mushroom or Pixi Dust alone.
The applicators on the polishes are really top quality.  The brushes are thick and full - 2 sweeps cover my nails perfectly.

The liquid eyeliner is the product that shocked me the most.  I've found myself reaching for this now over my Illamasqua or Benefit products for day to day wear.

The brush creates a sleek, sharp line that doesn't transfer and lasts all day.  I mean this stuff lasts through a sweaty 9 hour bar shift.  I was stunned!

I still keep thinking in the back of my mind though that it's too good to be true.  There must be something in this product that is bad for my eyes?  For £1 it's impressive stuff.

Last up is the lip liner in red.  Not too much to say on this one other than it's great!  I wear a lot of red lipstick and this £1 liner is the perfect pin up red for my skintone.  It is a little drying but to be honest, I've had worse.  I'm certainly going to look into the other shades.

Have you tried any of the Make Up Gallery Range?

What are your thoughts on £1 ranges, can we trust them?
