Lifestyle | Keeping Motivated - My Gym Playlists

It's been a long time since I've shared or spoken about anything related to music but I've been spending a lot more time rediscovering old gems and building new playlists recently since I've been heading back to the gym to get my wobbly bits in check.

Now let's not get things confused here, I'm certainly NOT a gym bunny, but I've come to terms with the fact it’s just one of those things that’s got to be done and I think the one thing that will keep me motivated has to be a good playlist.  My music taste is varied to say the least, I listen to everything and anything but my heart and soul lies firmly in the metal camp.  Throw in some standard GaGa, a bit of Hip Hop and a dash of musical theatre and I'll just keep pounding that treadmill with what may resemble half a smile on my face.

I know the world of beauty blogging doesn't really go hand in hand with extreme metal but both hold a huge place in my heart and I thought I'd take the opportunity to share a  couple of playlists that keep me going.

The noise:                                                           The feel-good playlist:
What keeps you motivated?  Are you a music nut like myself?

  1. I'm definitely going to give these a listen - I can spot a few faves of mine in there!
Who says beauty blogging and heavier music can't go together?!

  2. I go back and forth on music! I realize I'm able to do more in my workouts when I'm listening to it, and I often put a song on, dance interpretively (read: ridonkulously) to it and call it a day. But sometimes it just makes me headachy. Will check out these songs! The feel-good playlist has a lot of songs I know, so probs right up my speed. :)

  3. I love both of these playlists and I will give these a try when I'm next in the gym - I'm more of a rock chick but I don't mind up beat songs when your working out
