My Perfect Christmas Eve Routine

It's true, it's true!  I am a complete Christmas nut!!

Well, I'm not mental, mental but I do ADORE this time of year.  The scents, the smiles - everything is just magical!

I've now become the Christmas host in our family - that's right, they actually trust me to cook Christmas dinner for SIX PEOPLE!!!  So once I've scrubbed the house from top to bottom, wrapped gifts and prepared enough food to feed an army, then I want to spend a few hours treating myself on Christmas Eve to some pampering.

Tomorrow I plan on having a HUGE bubble bath and over-indulging in all of my favourite products.  I picked up a little treat from Bomb Cosmetics this week especially for Christmas Eve as I just can't have a bath without either a load of bubbles or a giant bath bomb and surely Christmas Eve is just the perfect reason to treat yo self!  Along with that, a product I've mentioned before (here) but it's especially perfect at this time of year - the Warm Cinnamon Nights Shower/ Bath Gel by Treacle Moon is like heaven in a bottle.  With juuust the right amount of sweet cinnamon this stuff just leaves your skin super soft and smelling like a dream.
While in the bath I plan on treating my skin to a little facemask so I grabbed one of the 7th Heaven Green Tea Peel Off Masks - it helps my pores, y'see.  And it's super cheap!  Then I plan on smothering my face in the Origins Drink-Up Overnight Mask before bed.

Yes, that's right, no matter how old you are, you're never too old for new PJs at Christmas.  I'll be taking up residence on my cosy sofa, (peppermint) candles lit and stuffing some Quality Street into my face while drinking hot chocolate and watching Elf or Muppet's Christmas Carol before painting my nails one of my favourite Christmas shades - Ruby Slippers by China Glaze.  It's a beautiful true red glitter polish that I mentioned in my Christmas Nails post (here) and it's super hard-wearing so will be perfect while I'm cooking on Christmas day.
Then off to a nice fresh set of clean bedsheets to wait for Santa to pop down my chimney.
