Five To Try From Ole Henriksen

5 To Try From Ole Henriksen Ole Henriksen New To Boots in UK
-AD | This Post Contains Gifted Material -

On February 1st, 2019, Ole Henriksen officially relaunches into the UK via Boots (you can join the wait list here) and as one of my top brand discoveries over the last few years, I wanted to share my some of my favourite products that I've tried to maybe help influence your spending sprees on launch day 😂

Ole Henriksen is a Danish skincare guru with over 40 years' experience in the industry.  His skincare line is cruelty-free, paraben-free and packed full of powerful actives and natural botanicals.

A few years back, I won a gift voucher from the very lovely Gemma Etc for and I spotted some Ole Henrisken gift sets in the sale, I got so over excited that I bought two of them as I had never found any O.H products in the UK before this, or indeed afterwards.

This was when I started my love affair with one of their iconic products; the Sheer Transformation Moisturizer so what better product to begin with;

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer*
One of the most hydrating and smoothing moisturisers I have ever used.  This is a super lightweight formulation that absorbs in seconds - a big deal for me as I'm always looking for products to save time.  There is no sticky residue and the product is fragrance free.

This moisturiser is suitable for all ages and all skin-types, it's vegan friendly, oil-free and can be used both day and night.  The slightly whipped formula helps even skin tone and any texture on the complexion which has always been a huge issue for me so I'm chuffed to bits that getting hold of a new tub is going to be so much easier now.

At £34 for 50ml, I think the prices seem to be more affordable via Boots & direct from the OH site + shipping now than it used to be buying from the US in the past, as I'm sure this size used to be around €55.

Ole Henriksen Wonderfeel Double Cleanser*
The cleanser junkie in me cannot wait for the Boots launch day as I've finished this tube and I'm bursting to pick up a new pack.

This creamy, cold cream cleanser feels both lightweight and indulgent on the skin.  The formula dissolves even my waterproof make up gently while keeping the skin hydrated and soft.

Coming to Boots at £23.00 for 100mls, it's what I'd class as a mid-range budget cleanser and one I can't wait to add back into my routine on Feb 1st.

Ole Henriksen Wonderfeel Double Cleanser Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum

Ole Henriksen Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum*
This product was launched back in October 2018 and I was dying to get my hands on it.  I've been using it now since Mid-December and I adore it.

This is a serum that can be used both morning and night but I use it in the AM as it's a purple tinted product that helps brighten the complexion so I think it gves my skin a real boost before I apply my make up.

The serum uses AHAs and Bakuchiol; a natural alternative to retinol to help the skin fight against the signs of ageing.

"Enriched with Edelweiss stem cell, a delicately beautiful and resilient flower that thrives in harsh conditions, this potent day serum also helps firm and improve elasticity. And, with hibiscus flower extract, it dramatically evens skin tone and texture."

I love the pump action bottle as it's hygienic and one pump provides the perfect pea-sized amount for the whole face.

If you're a fan of skincare, I would recommend joining the Caroline Hirons Skincare Junkies Facebook group; one of the cult OH products I see recommended on there many times by the members is the eye cream and I could not agree more;
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream

If you're in the market for plump and a crease-free under eye area, this one is for you.

Ole Henriksen is said to be one of the first brands to use Vitamin C in their skincare line and this eye cream is part of their "Truth" range, that has been developed to help brighten and firm the skin, using Vitamin C and orange and green tea extracts to nourish the skin.

I suffer quite badly with creasing under and around the eye area now, in my mid-30's it's getting to be more noticeable when I'm dehydrated and in need of a few extra hours kip.

The product was inspired by "banana powder", the yellow cream helps to colour correct and brighten, creating the perfect base for my concealer.

My skin just devours eye cream these days but this cream not only hydrates but also firms my under eye area and really helps reduce the look of my crows feet, I cannot recommend this one more.

Ole Henriksen Glow 2 Oh Dark Spot Toner

Ole Henriksen Glow 2 OH Dark Spot Toner*
Last up, the lastest release from the brand in my collection, the Glow 2OH Dark Spot Toner has been hyped up by glowy influencers like Jamie Genevieve and Desi Perkins.

This little blue bottle of goodness is what has been saving me when I feel a little bit of badness trying to pop out and ruin my weekend.

In the past, toner was a step I used to skip but I've grown to experiment more with toners, finding the right one for me to give good results, rather than just using it to swipe away any leftover cleanser.

This Glow 2 OH Dark Spot Toner is part of their "Transform" line, packed full of high-potency AHAs (Glycolic & Lactic) to help even out the skin's texture and reduce dark spots. The witch hazel in the the product helps keep any breakouts at bay while the lemon, sugar cane, licorice root, chamomile and sandalwood help soothe the skin.

I use this toner 3/4 times per week to help reduce the texture on my complexion, I especially notice the difference on my T-Zone and chin after use and love the smell too.

This one i coming into Boots at £22.00 for 190mls which I think is a reasonable price for something that will last you a good 3/4 months as you only need a small spot on a cotton pad.

Five To Try From Ole Henriksen

Ole rebranded and relaunched their range back in 2017, the collections are now split into four colour coded ranges for all skincare concerns/ desires;

I've found another of my old favourites online that I wanted to cheat and add in here too;

The Truth On The Glow Cleansing Cloths,
I know everyone hates make up wipes these days but I bought some of these years ago (previously known as; Clean Truth cleansing cloths) and they were also included in the gift sets I purchased in the past. These are one of the most refreshing and effective cleansing wipes I have ever used. They are ideal for travelling super handy when you get home after a drunken night and don't want to ruin your skin as they have jojoba seed oil to clean and hydrate the skin.
Phew, sorry but that one went on a little longer than intended....
Have you tried Ole Henriksen?  Will you be making any purchases when they launch into Boots?
-Warning | Please ensure if you use AHAs that you please use a daily SPF to keep the skin protected -
